I’ve finally resumed city-life and will be back to writing again. Considering that I’ve got an enormous pile of desperately-in-need-of-love-and-attention draft posts to start from, any requests with where I should start? Science from a neglected Stargate episode? Tales from conventions? Reviews of more recent scifi?

If you ask me, Stargate…
Joseph Mallozzi just wrote about his most popular blog posts in 2012: https://josephmallozzi.wordpress.com/2013/01/03/january-3-2012-home-dogs-aches-and-pains-and-our-2012-blogging-year-in-review-revealing-our-top-five-most-active-commenters/ – and it’s not hard to see that his Stargate posts are the most popular ones :)
Many years ago – back in circa 2002 – our publisher passed on two of our books (Giza-Genesis, The Best Kept Secrets)we had written a few years earlier to HBO – which in turn ended up in MGM hands – it was reported to me that a few of the chapters were used as themes in the SG1 episodes – as I was told much later from the producers of SG1..’You cannot copyright ideas’…. water under the bridge.
However, our journies led on prior to and post that period to discover that in fact the premise of ‘Stargate’ series was a case that ‘Truth is indeed stranger than fiction’…I have the locations!!
Ms. Mika…could you comment on the design of the destiny? I was looking at so-called
“trumpet ftl drives”, based on ‘trumpet theory’ (see: http://io9.com/5963263/how-nasa-will-build-its-very-first-warp-drive …and http://arxiv.org/pdf/1110.5763.pdf
http://arxiv.org/pdf/1109.3365.pdf …& http://arxiv.org/pdf/1002.0336.pdf ) . It
might imply that any civilization that knew the “technologies of stargate portals..might also use those technologies — associated materials..to develope FTL/Warp drives.
To me the ship’s (destiny’s) FTL drive looks like an 8-way acoustically connected
exponential trumpet shaped space-time energy collector…that pulses out “mini
bubbles”..of exotic mass…”advanced light”. Are you still going to be under consideration as a consultant for a possible “SGU movie”? WW
